Assignment of error not required. Assignments of error are not required. Statement of the issues presented on appeal in the appellant’s brief as required by Rule 28 shall be sufficient.

Committee Comments Rule 20 states in positive terms that assignments of error are no longer required. While perhaps unnecessary, inclusion of this statement emphasizes the spirit in which these rules are intended to operate: to reach the merits of litigation.
